Psychology wisdom quotes

1) “The Christ-symbol is of the greatest importance for psychology in so far as it is perhaps the most highly developed and differentiated symbol of the self, apart from the figure of the Buddha.”

-Carl Jung

There is a reason why Bible colleges used to reject the subjects of psychology and philosophy. They used to believe that Bible college should only focus on Christianity alone, while later on they realized that psychology and philosophy must be known, in order to fully comprehend Christianity and live the complete lifehood of what it takes to be a Christian. Psychology can be separated from Christianity as a worldly belief of what and how people are while Philosophy can be separated from Christianity as a belief of a false godly figure of Buddha. This means that we can apply both psychology and philosophy into the Christian's way of life without serving people nor Buddha as a God. This is how the Christ-symbol is of the greatest importance for psychology and philosophy. Meaning, whether it is knowledge or wisdom, they both can be applied to Christianity.

2) “I used to be and I still am into psychology. I would like to be able to pursue something like that, but I don't know. The older I've gotten, the more endearing this business has become and I can't really imagine leaving it.”

-Lindsey Shaw

Psychology is the most widely discussed topic when it comes down to spending time a a cafe. This is how much people study psychology. They even discuss it while they are free and while they are just hanging out. This is because relationship is what makes us the richest person in the world, in which money cannot buy nor do this for us. We may be rich with money, but having a poor relationship with people will make us lose it all, because relationships with people is to have it all. This is why the psychological warfare is that important, because it's all about building relationships with people. Starting from a very young age people try to learn psychology and the older we get the more desperate we become to learn since the older we get the more we know of both life and people. To leave the world of psychology is to be all alone in solitude with no one coming to give us attention nor show love.

3) “Cognitive (mental processes related to perceiving, attending, thinking, language, and memory) psychology has shown that the mind best understands facts when they are woven into a conceptual fabric, such as a narrative, mental map, or intuitive theory. Disconnected facts in the mind are like unlinked pages on the Web: They might as well not exist.”

-Steven Pinker

There is a saying that women cannot read a map when being distracted by men. This is because when men bombard at women in the world psychological warfare women can't change the fact that attraction is not a choice, but it just happens. They can fight it all they want, but in the end a man who understands this can attract any women in the world. This is why it is the wisest person who gets all the women while the smartest only gets one women in the same room. There is no way around the fact that women love bad men, especially when it comes down to thinking in a logical and sensible way. This goes for whether it is perceiving, attending, thinking, language, and memory. This is how disconnected fact in the mind are like unlinked pages on the Web: they might as well not exist. Now if attraction was a choice, then attraction has a great chance of not existing, but since this isn't the case thinking logically into what attraction from women are and aren't doesn't exist unless it really doesn't attract women. This is why professional pickup artists are always the same and does the same similar things to build relationships with women. It is all about a repetition of doing the same thing while brainwashing oneself and achieving a connection with women. The law of attraction is that the same choice of words and actions works many times while many times it doesn't for no reason.

4) “I don't believe in psychology.”

-Bobby Fischer

To believe in psychology is to trust people, and in this world, we cannot trust people but we still should. If we don't trust people, it puts us in a solitude position and because of negative but correct perspectives nobody will come to us and we will be alone forever. To trust people even if we know we can't gives us a positive perspective to still have hope in people even if it isn't rock solid. This way we have the key to spark a relationship with each other and build a bridge on it. A house build on sand will break down eventually while a house built on rock will not break down. If both sides have the same trust and attraction towards each other, it creates a bond that nobody can break.

5) “Grounded in the natural philosophy of the Middle Ages, alchemy formed a bridge: on the one hand into the past, to Gnosticism, and on the other into the future, to the modern psychology of the unconscious.”

-Carl Jung

During the stone ages cave men were able to believe that cheap meals like lead can be made into gold, finding a cure for all diseases, and discovering a way to live forever if talked into and put some deep thought into it. Also, to believe that salvation was possible through a secret or mystical knowledge rather than faith was easy too. This is when the world was very young. Then the next stage in past times would be the opposite of it. Meaning, people tend to no longer believe in it because of the knowledge and wisdom of the world. While in the future, the educated society will want absolute proof of everything whereas in nothing can be proven until end times. In the end times, it will be either too late to turn things around or still not enough time to prove any belief to be true or not. This is how modern psychology of the unconscious into the future will come about.

6) “I've come to the conclusion that mythology is really a form of archaeological psychology. Mythology gives you a sense of what a people believes, what they fear.”

-George Lucas

Mythology is really a form of archaeological psychology because traditional stories and sacred tales belonging to a particular culture or religion is how it is defined and understood through cognitive psychology. The reason why people like stories is because they can relate to any aspect of life. In order to understand anything well enough, we ought to imagine ourself as a small form of energy in that world consuming every about it all from all the smallest details to the greater details. Without stories facts will merely be facts without appliance to it whereas in learning is not enough, for, we must apply.

7) “I think psychology and self-reflection is one of the major catastrophes (a sudden event that brings great damage, suffering, or ruin) of the twentieth century.”

-Werner Herzog

We live in the most advanced generation of life ever. The more the world advances, so does psychology. Psychology and self-reflection is one of the major catastrophes of the twentieth century because of the dark truth about humanity as a whole. Darkness overrides the root of humanity because we are all sinners by nature and will always be. People will always fail each other and knowing this in the beginning will not bring much of a catastrophe as in comparison to the most advanced time of generation, because of knowing of this for too long has its way of negatively affecting our life. Like how people will always fail each other, we too will always fail ouselves, and in order to fully comprehend a relationship with people and us we must see both sides for what it is and how it is.

8) “Horror (strong emotional feeling of intense fear, shock, or disgust) is beyond the reach of psychology.”

-Theodor W. Adorno

Horror is defined to be a strong emotional feeling of intense fear, shock, or disgust, and even when we know of it all about humanity psychology is still the most commonly discussed subject. This is to say that the love of psychology can override all the negative things about humanity. It always has and it will always be this way. To master psychology is to have the greatest knowledge and wisdom in building relationships with people, and therefore it is to have everything. To be poor in relationships is to lose it all even when we know of all the negative things and the very nature about people as a whole.
